Well-known in the Detroit area, The Sam Bernstein Law Firm has made a short move across the street from their former offices on the Northwestern Highway corridor to their new home at REDICO’s Woodlands Officecentre.
Having had employees spread out in three locations inside their building, Bernstein sought to bring the entire firm together in one suite. At the three-story Woodlands, the Bernstein team chose to occupy the entire footprint of the third floor. With a buildout from a shell condition, there was the opportunity to design and create a very attractive space, which includes a cafe area, meeting rooms and outdoor space.
“It was important to Bernstein to attract their employees back to the office post-Covid,” said Doug Van Noord, VP of Office Leasing for REDICO. “Now they’re in a really cool environment in a Class A building with more amenities.”
REDICO and Bernstein began working together on a lease at Woodlands in Fall 2023 and signed May 2024. It was an aggressive schedule for their occupancy by November 2024. The REDICO team designed the space, and the PCI-Dailey Company did the tenant improvement work.
“Bernstein couldn’t be happier with both PCI and REDICO for delivering a terrific space,” said Van Noord.
Along with the excitement of Bernstein relocating to Woodlands Office Center, three other new tenants will be moving in during 2025, creating further buzz in the building. The Kirk Gibson Foundation, Amentum Technology and Fishbeck will be leasing an additional 85,000 square feet. Between Bernstein’s move-in and the other new tenants, occupancy at Woodlands will be in excess of 95%.
